Preston - The High Street Project
Heading further north along the 86 line, High Street opens up into the broad, utilitarian footprint of Preston. Here, the compact heritage store-fronts of the inner north give way to expansive mid-century brickwork, auto service bays, light-industrial warehouses, and long-standing family-run enterprises. It is a stretch characterized by architectural transition, bold street angles, and generous northern light.
As part of the High Street Project, these documentary photographs capture Preston’s graphic industrial details, commercial signage remnants, and everyday urban shifts—from the central commercial core up toward Regent.
